The Village Family Services is a community-based nonprofit organization focused on the prevention and treatment of child abuse and family violence. The agency serves children and families of primarily Latino descent living in the greater Los Angeles area that includes North Hollywood, Glendale, Burbank, Van Nuys, and San Fernando. Our holistic approach towards accomplishing our mission is to provide comprehensive bilingual/bicultural mental health services that address and prevent child abuse and neglect. Services are provided through five major areas: Mental Health, Foster Care, Domestic Violence, Parenting Support, and Wraparound Services.

Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Knowledge of foster care documentation and Title 22
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify, track and measure service outcomes
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and supervisory skills

Duties and Responsibilities-Essentials:
- Knowledge of Department of Mental Health requirements.
- Keeps current with all changes and new requirements.
- Implements changes and follows up with clinicians.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Good team member with assertive people skills.
- Works closely with the clinical director, QA director, and the entire clinical staff.
- Responsible for tracking compliance and auditing clinical files, compliance with HIPAA regulations and all other procedures as necessary.
- Responsible for reviewing all mental health documentation (assessments, CCCPs, progress notes, and any other pertinent documentation).
- Participates in monthly utilization review.
- Conducts on-site audits of clinical records and reports findings on the accuracy of admission dates, discharge dates, face sheets, financial forms, regularity of chart notations, and any other technicalities reviewed by the Department of Mental Health. Assesses the quality of documentation on assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Assesses and analyzes deficiencies in clinical records and identifies trends in deficiencies; develops and assists Program Directors in implementing corrective action measures and methods for improving the maintenance of clinical records.
- Supports procedures to facilitate communication and adequate information flow regarding quality assurance and compliance issues.
Duties and Responsibilities-General:
- Attends staff and QA meetings.
- Participates in training/meetings, as mandated by funding source/program supervisor.
- Follows up on absences and consistency of treatment, assures that children and families are in compliance with funding source regulations/standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including coordination of special projects.
