The Village Family Services provides court-mandated programs for domestic violence offenders. Programs are held weekly
and participants are required to attend each week for one year.
The programs use lectures, classes and small group discussions to educate perpetrators on their role in the dynamics of domestic violence, and how to change their behavior in order to prevent future violent acts. A wide range of topics are covered including:
- Anger management and stress management
- Substance abuse
- Family dynamics and cultural issues
- Communication and problem-solving skills
