Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a model of psychotherapy that combines trauma-sensitive interventions with elements of cognitive behavioral therapy into a treatment designed to address the unique needs of children with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other problems related to traumatic life experiences. TF-CBT is an evidence-based program that includes individual treatment components for children ages 5-18 years old, and for their parents or primary caregivers. TF-CBT also includes several joint parent-child treatment sessions.

Our Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based parent-child treatment program that assists parents of children with behavioral problems (aggression, non-compliance, defiance, and temper tantrums). Originally developed by Dr. Sheila Eyberg, PCIT is a unique treatment program that focuses on promoting positive parent-child relationships and interactions while teaching parents effective child management skills. PCIT has been adapted as an intervention for many different types of families (child welfare population, at-risk families, adoptive families, foster families, and other languages including Spanish and Chinese).

Project HYPE! is an innovative program for at-risk Latino youth who have been traumatized by violence, abuse and/or neglect. Through interactive learning sessions, guest speakers and individual mentoring, traumatized teens learn to build coping and stress-reduction skills, decrease reactivity, show respect for the safety of self and others, and improve self-care through healthy choices. The program is led by bilingual/bicultural therapists who understand the cultural context, community issues and relationship patterns that impact at-risk Latino teens.
