For many homeless youth, the effects of prejudice, poverty, and neglect create a cycle of despair. Access to a warm meal and place to rest can be the difference between life and death.
Each year, the The Village Drop-in Center serves over 800 homeless youth and is the sole provider for comprehensive housing and support services for homeless youth in the Greater San Fernando communities. Our experienced staff works 7 days a week to create tailor-made plans designed to provide our youth with a path to independence and wellness.

A place to stay!
“The worst was feeling broken and hopeless, like I couldn’t do anything about my situation. I was sitting on a park bench one day, crying, when a Village staff member who I had talked to earlier, walked up and said, ‘We’ll work out something, but in the meantime, we found you a place to stay.’ That house meant everything to me.”

PEER MENTORS
We believe that youth need to be approached at their own level. Our innovative Peer Mentor program provides training for formerly homeless youth who are housed and stabilized to work with active clients to help them adjust to and receive much needed support.
Whether they find the Drop-in Center on their own or by the The Village Outreach Team, youth have immediate access to a full range of support services including food, hygiene items, information resources, case management, medication support, as well as referrals for housing, employment, and education.

6,000 meals served - 3,000 warm showers - 30,000 support services
We rely heavily on the generosity of our community and donors.
